Competitive advantage at your fingertips

In today's complex business world, a competitive advantage is harder to achieve and even more difficult to maintain than it has ever been before.  In a time of instant global communication and information, the ability to develop a deep understanding of your customers and markets is critical.  Success ultimately depends on whether your organization can respond with speed, knowledge, and confidence to the ever shifting needs of your customers and the changing strategies of your business competitors.

Service Oriented Architecture

Service-oriented architecture (SOA) is an evolution of distributed computing based on the request/reply design paradigm for synchronous and asynchronous applications. An application's business logic or individual functions are modularized and presented as services for consumer/client applications.  What's key to these services is their loosely coupled nature; i.e., the service interface is independent of the implementation.  Application developers or system integrators can build applications by composing one or more services without knowing the services' underlying implementations.  Unlike prior architectures, this means it's fast and easy to update applications with new capabilities.  It's a win win for developers and end users.
